The Business Development and Marketing Coordinator – Practice and Industry Groups will support BD teams delivering our Client & Market strategy and executing our firm-wide prioritised Service Line approach. Also, to work closely with our specialist Practice and Industry BD teams to achieve revenue growth and raise the firm’s profile.


Practice Groups and Industry Groups (PG/IG) and Service Line (SL) Business Development and Marketing
  • Support the development and execution of business development and marketing day to day activities and programmes for the specialist IG, PG and SL in line with business plans and priorities
  • Create supporting infrastructure for Service Lines ensuring materials are up to date and accessible by PBS and fee earners
  • Help keep groups suite of marketing materials, including capabilities statements, pitch templates, deals lists, website content (internal and external) and press releases up to date
  • Support internal communications
Client Development
  • Support targeting initiatives and ensure that related activity is documented and shared with relevant stakeholders
  • Gather research for client relationships using firm-wide systems and other teams and input into systems where relevant to do so
  • Assist with overall coordination of newsletters, client alerts, documents and reports; assist in the preparation and execution of webinar broadcasts
  • Assist with BakerMcKenzie.com updates – scheduling featured insights, updating page content, content tagging
  • Track and update databases and Blog
  • Support development and deployment of thought leadership content and other profile-raising activities working closely with the Marketing function, Industries Groups and other PGs
  • Support creation of marketing and client communications relating to market facing knowledge based tools and materials – handbooks, Apps and tools, market know how, technical updates, training programs and seminars, etc.
  • Support awards, directories and league table submissions
Pitches and Panels
  • Source firm-wide base data to support key pursuits and targeting initiatives
Internal Meetings and Events
  • Support the planning and BD-related materials creation for internal meetings and special events 


Skills and Experience:
  • Marketing degree or related degree
  • Experience working in a Marketing or Business Development role in a legal or professional services environment will be an advantage
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to liaise with people across the business
  • Excellent Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
