Our Sales and Marketing team are looking for a Business Development pipeline senior associate to support our senior pipeline managers successfully with pipeline management for one of our markets in line with the firmwide growth ambition.

Who we're looking for

The successful candidate will embed into the relevant markets, developing trusted relationships with key stakeholders to understand the pipeline dynamics and provide real time sales performance data and insight. This will be used to support senior colleagues in creating meaningful interventions on specific opportunities, enable robust qualification across our new opportunities and ensure that the wider sales and marketing function is mobilised effectively across the portfolio.

This role will report to a senior pipeline manager, and enable the execution of the sales strategy driven through the senior leadership of that market.

We are looking for someone who can build relationships quickly,  who has strong communication skills, and who has a strong analytical mindset. This person needs to be both comfortable in dealing with large data sets and manipulating them into something meaningful as well as communicating findings to multiple senior stakeholders. You will be part of the Business development capability in the function and work closely with other business development professionals to provide sales enablement across the whole sales cycle. With substantial growth plans for the coming years and a large pipeline we are seeking to recruit individuals to support us on realising the market opportunity.

Your responsibilities

  • Supporting the embedding of a pipeline cadence and rhythm to enable proactive identification of new opportunities, and the mobilisation of the existing portfolio.

  • Build and develop the appropriate reports, lenses and dashboards in Salesforce and Tableau CRM to derive the data and insight required to support the business.

  • Analyse and review pipeline trends to understand sales performance, with translation to business messages that our Partners and Directors can act upon.

  • Support the qualification (win plan) discussions with engagement teams to drive opportunity acceleration and maximise win rate.

  • Drive awareness and application of our opportunity protocols across the relevant pipeline to ensure confidence in our forecasting and increased pipeline hygiene.

  • Create engagement in the use of Salesforce and enthusiasm around the value and insight it can generate to aid improved sales performance.

  • Be aware of the wider firmwide pipeline trends and dynamics to provide meaningful context to your own portfolio and leadership around performance.

Skills and experience required

  • Experience in a business development role within PwC, or in other service-focused organisations.

  • Experience of working with Salesforce is preferential, and a passion for analytics will be essential.

  • Experience of analysing and presenting large data sets using CRMs or analytics tools such as Tableau, Alteryx or Power BI.

  • Knowledge of SQL or SAQL would be an advantage though not essential.

  • Evidence of working as part of a wider sales and marketing/ business development function towards a set of common objectives.

  • Business and commercial acumen allowing you to analyse and interpret data.

  • Understanding of the sales cycle and the required components to promote and drive a successful opportunity.
